Miniature collectible animal figure made using the spun cotton technique, a process by which cotton fibres are wrapped and held in place by thread around a wire armature. The outer layers are then pasted and sculpted to form a hard surface for painting. It’s a similar technique to papier-mâché, if a bit more fiddly!
